Roadblock: The email address cannot accept payments

Okay, so you were setting up your campaign and everything was going great. Then you got to the part where you enter in your PayPal email address, you clicked Save changes, and then this happened:


What does it mean?

This is one of PayPal's most generic error message, so unfortunately the message could mean a variety of things.

  1. Is there a typo?

    The first thing you're going to want to do is check if your email address is spelled correctly. Sometimes this error message means that the email address provided is not registered to any PayPal account, and when this is the case, it's usually a small typo that caused it. Simply fix the spelling and click Save changes
  2. Do you have a PayPal account with that email address?

    The second thing you're going to want to do is make sure you have an existing PayPal account with that email address registered to it.
    If you don't have a PayPal account, simply create one at, then come back to our site.
    If you have a PayPal account but haven't added that email address to it, simply add that email address to your PayPal account (and click the confirmation link they email to you right afterwards)

  3. Are you in one of our Supported Countries?

  4. Could there be a technical issue? 

    If none of the previous steps apply to you, another possibility is that there may be some technical issue with your PayPal account that is preventing the PayPal system from communicating your account details to us. If you've already ruled out the first three options above, then submit a request to let us know and we'll check with our PayPal Account Management Team to make sure your PayPal account has no issues.
